A little about me

Welcome to my blog.
Hmmmm. Where to start. Ok, a little background info first, i think. My name is Lisa, I'm mum to 3 children, 2 boys aged 20 and 16 year and 1 girl aged 9.We live in a small market town in the Cambridgeshire countryside, I'm sure i will add pictures at some stage, but bare with me. I was recently diagnosed with a chronic condition, which has, unfortunately, although i am recovering slowly, left me bed bound and bored for a considerable length of time. After chatting to a friend online, thank you lord for the internet, i decided to try out some new hobby ideas. After all, there are only so many times you can watch re runs of 'Friends' on Dvd. My friend suggested cross stitch, as it is her favs. so, i decided to give it a try. After spending weeks and weeks looking for a design that grabbed me, i gave up. One afternoon during a trip with my partner and daughter to her favorite crafting store, i stumbled across a mixed bag of fabric off cuts. The mix of floral and plain patterns appealed to me. Unsure of what to do with them i stuck them in the shopping basket and paid for them anyway. After a few days of handling these fabrics and playing with them, i was still none the wiser as to what to do with them, so, one cold grey and rainy British afternoon, i decided to do to an internet search on fabric scraps to give me some ideas. It took one website to fire up my imagination and I've been addicted ever since. I would like to point out i am not a professional, i have received no formal training, what i have learned, I've learned from the internet and books. I will add links to the websites that i've found most useful, once i work it all out
